The Reunión Bienal de la Sociedad Española de Catálisis (SECAT’21), was held in Valencia, Spain, from October 18 to 20, 2021.

The Congress aimed to disseminate and share the latest developments in Catalysis in our country, with a particular emphasis on the new challenges facing our society in Chemistry, Environment, and Energy. These challenges revolved around the concepts of Sustainability, Zero Waste, Decarbonization, and Circular Economy, which necessitated the development of new catalytic technologies or the exploration of new approaches in the field of Catalysis.
